ABOUT

Agnico Eagle’s Canadian Malartic complex comprises the Canadian Malartic mine, the Odyssey mine and the Marban project.

Canadian Malartic Mine, one of Canada’s largest open-pit gold mines, is located in the Town of Malartic, in the heart of Québec’s Abitibi Gold Belt.

Construction continues on the Odyssey mine, which will develop the continuity of the Canadian Malartic and Barnat pits.  It will become one of the largest underground gold mines in Canada. It is located about 3 km east of the entrance to the town of Malartic.

Marban is an advanced gold exploration project that could potentially support a satellite open-pit mining operation to feed the Canadian Malartic complex mill.

Canadian Malartic Mine will continue to operate until 2029 by mining the Barnat pit. The Odyssey Mine’s life is expected to last until 2042.

OUR 3 STEPS
TO OPERATE

Our commitment is to continuously conduct operations in a way that ensures a safe and healthy work environment.

We make a point of enforcing compliance with the three operating steps that all workers must apply daily on our sites.

  1. Is it safe
    for employees?

  2. DOES IT RESPECT THE
    ENVIRONMENT
    AND THE
    COMMUNITY?

  3. ONCE THE FIRST TWO
    STEPS HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED,
    OPERATIONS MAY PROCEED.
