On April 13, the Government of Québec authorized mines to reopen on April 15. We would therefore like to take this opportunity to announce that our operations will resume gradually as of that date.
With operations reduced to a minimum since March 24 at the request of the government, we have focused on developing a robust plan of hygiene and prevention measures to continue to ensure the health and safety of our on-site employees.
We will ramp back up to normal mining operations over several weeks. Our employees, contractors and suppliers will be given further details in the coming days.
Since operations will be resumed gradually, our Community Relations Office will remain closed for the time being. As well, the following programs have been suspended for an indefinite period:
We hope to be able to resume these programs as soon as possible and are examining the feasibility of implementing registration and signature procedures that do not require in-person meetings with residents. Rest assured that program registration dates will be extended accordingly.
No effort will be spared to maintain the highest standards in order to provide a healthy and safe work environment.
