Working at the Odyssey Mine really gives me the impression that I have a hand in the mine’s technological progress. It’s about the industry’s future and I like helping to shape it. I operate remotely piloted vehicles safely from the surface by using joysticks like those for video games. “Innovation” aptly describes my job, and one day I’ll be able to say that I was there from the very beginning, when everything started.
I’ve been working at Canadian Malartic Mine since 2010. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with the Mining Operations team as a production drill operator. After that, I shared my knowledge as an equipment trainer. In 2021, the mine gave me the opportunity to advance my career and make the most of my potential by becoming the lead of the team of trainers.
