On April 13, the Government of Québec authorized mines to reopen on April 15. Canadian Malartic Mine gradually resumed operations as of that date.
The Community Relations Office will remain closed for the time being. The Compensation Program for 2019 or under the class-action lawsuit will, however, resume remotely on May 4. As well, the program registration period will be extended through to June 1, 2020, inclusively.

Completing an Application
If, between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2019, you resided in Malartic or on Chemin des Merles in Rivière-Héva, please complete the compensation application form for 2019.

If you resided in Malartic’s southern neighbourhood or on Chemin des Merles in Rivière-Héva, you may also use the compensation program included in the Good Neighbour Guide for the July 1, 2013, to December 31, 2018, retroactive periods, if you are eligible and have not previously used the program. Please also complete the compensation form for the July 1, 2013, to December 31, 2018, periods.

Submitting an Application
You can submit your duly completed form along with your proofs of residence in one of three ways:
Note: Your proofs of residence will be returned to you along with your release and discharge.
How to obtain a Release and Discharge Agreement and return it once duly signed
Important: Scanned documents will not be accepted.
The box outside the Community Relations Office will be available only from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. When dropping off your Release and Discharge Agreement in the box, please remember to maintain a distance of two (2) metres from any other residents who may also be present.
Notice to Citizens Currently Awaiting Their Release and Discharge Agreement
Several agreements are ready. In these specific cases, you do not need to call us. Our team will contact each citizen concerned to ask them if they would like to receive their release and discharge by mail or email, and give them all the details regarding the Compensation Program that will be resuming remotly. We would remind you that no appointment can be made.
Please note that activities will resume gradually. Consequently, the following programs will be suspended for the time being and will resume gradually:
