Nathalie Tremblay, Director of Environment at Canadian Malartic Mine, was recently appointed Chair of the Executive Board of the UQAT-Polytechnique Research Institute on Mines and Environment (RIME). She is the first woman to hold this position since the research partnership was created in 2013. She first joined the RIME in 2020 as a director.
The RIME is implementing a significant research program aimed at developing environmentally friendly, original, and practical solutions for the entire life cycle of a mine. We have been working with the RIME for several years. Our partnership makes it possible to conduct trials and field studies, among other things, so that best practices in mine reclamation can be applied.
