2021 – CMM HONOURED AT THE CNESST GRANDS PRIX – LEADER CATEGORY

Olivier Brousseau, Health and Safety Superintendent, Canadian Malartic Mine, took top honours in the Leader category at the November 25 virtual Gala des Grands Prix held by the Commission des normes, de l’équité et de la santé et de la sécurité du travail wich took place virtually on November 25, 2021. This recognition underscores Olivier’s contribution to field work coordination during planned processing plant shutdowns and to the engagement of several crews that were already highly involved in prioritizing everyone’s health and safety every day.

 

2021 – CANADIAN MALARTIC PARTNERSHIP WINS AN EXTRA AT THE CCIRN GALA

We won the "School Perseverance" Extra at the Gala of the Chambre de commerce de Rouyn-Noranda, which was held on November 20, 2021. Investing at different levels in education allows us to maintain and build a competent, motivated and committed succession. Added to this is the development of the skills of our employees, which makes innovative projects possible.

 

2021 – THE PARTNERSHIP HONOURED WITH THE DISCOVERY OF THE YEAR AWARD AT THE QMEA’S 2021 XPLOR CONVENTION

On October 27, the Canadian Malartic Partnership was presented with the Discovery of the Year Award at the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA) virtual 2021 Xplor Convention in recognition for the discovery of the East Gouldie zone of the Odyssey mine in September 2018. It is worth noting that the discovery of this mineralized zone at depth has significantly changed the Odyssey Project by ensuring its economic viability and making it possible that, only 3 years later, we completed the casting of a 93 m headframe for the Odyssey mine. This award is the result of the efforts and commitment of the members of several teams who worked together to further the common goal of developing the Partnership’s mining camp for many years to come. Congratulations to everyone who was directly or indirectly involved in this discovery!

 

2021 – 25 CMM SUPERVISORS RECEIVE HEALTH AND SAFETY RECOGNITION AWARD FROM THE QMA

On October 14, the Québec Mining Association (QMA) unveiled the winners of the Health and Safety Recognition Awards, which recognize the efforts of workers in the mining industry. On this occasion, 25 of our CMM supervisors were rewarded for having achieved, with their teams, between 50,000 and 550,000 consecutive hours without a loss of time accident. These distinctions aptly summarize the importance of applying the first of our 3 steps to operate, health and safety, which structure the daily work of all workers of the Partnership. Congratulations to the winners and their teams!

 

2021 – The Partnership wins a ”Filon” at the Gala de l’Entreprise

The Canadian Malartic Partnership received the “Economic Development Contribution” Filon at the Gala de l’Entreprise of the Chambre de commerce de Val-d’Or held on September 17, 2021. The award confirms that we are and remain a leading local and regional economic driver. The award is the result of the commitment of all Partnership employees and of our contractor and partner employees to our organization’s success. Together, we are making an important contribution towards local economic development.

 

2021 – OUR COLLABORATION AGREEMENT HONOURED!

As part of the 2021 Annual General Meeting of the Québec Mining Association, the Canadian Malartic Partnership received the Distinction Award in the Community Relations category highlighting our historic collaboration agreement with the Abitibiwinni, Lac Simon, Long Point, and Kitcisakik Anishinabeg First Nations.

 

2021 – CMP RECEIVES AN AWARD FOR ITS JE M’ENGAGE CAMPAIN

As part of its 2021 Annual General Assembly, the Québec Mining Association presented its new Awards of Distinction. The Canadian Malartic Partnership won top honours in the Marketing-Communications category for its major “Je m’engage” awareness campaign aimed at encouraging workers to adopt better behaviours around occupational health and safety.
